Good design should feel like setting up camp—it should get out of the way and let people focus on the experience.

About me

I fell for art early, chased it through Fine Arts, detoured into Automotive Technology (I love understanding how things work), and landed in product design when I realized I could blend craft with systems thinking. I first joined LinkedIn as a design intern and, over 10+ years, rotated across monetization teams—Sales Solutions, Talent Solutions, Careers, Company Pages, and Productivity Solutions.

Across these surfaces, I turned complex data into decisions that work for a three-sided marketplace: people using our tools, their audiences, and the business .

Design approach

I start with the big picture—Jobs to be Done , user risks, and business outcomes. Then I test quickly with whatever fits the question: lightweight prototypes, usability sessions, analytics reviews, dogfooding, and experiments. The goal is to surface edge cases early and build confidence before we commit.

I partner closely with PM and Engineering to turn what we learn into the roadmap—tighten the spec, sequence bets, make trade-offs explicit, and keep the feedback loop running after launch so we adjust based on user feedback and behavior.

What drives me

Complexity doesn’t bother me; confusion does. I’m driven to help systems explain themselves so people can decide, not guess. Weekends in the mountains and the garage keep me honest—pack light, fix what breaks, keep going. Our family mixes Mexican and Chinese roots, so holding multiple views at once feels natural. That’s the lens I bring to my work every day.
